CIK cells are mononuclear cells collected from human peripheral blood, which are immune active cells obtained by modification, stimulation, culture and proliferation of various cytokines in vitro. These cells are characterized by rapid proliferation, high anti-tumor activity, broad-spectrum killing of tumor cells, and are also sensitive to multi drug resistant tumor cells.

CIK cells have strong ability to kill tumor cells, but their recognition ability is weak. Therefore, they are often co cultured with DC cells and used together. They can kill tumor cells in blood, digestive, respiratory, urinary and reproductive systems. In addition to killing and clearing tumor cells, the combined use of DC-CIK cells can also enhance the body's autoimmune regulation and repair body cells.

CIK cells can be used to treat tumors at different stages:

·For postoperative patients, it can remove the small residual lesions and free tumor cells in the blood or lymph circulation;

·For patients with radiotherapy and chemotherapy, it can reduce the toxic side effects and infection rate of the body caused by radiotherapy and chemotherapy, improve the efficacy of radiotherapy and chemotherapy, and prevent tumor recurrence and metastasis;

·It can control the rapid growth of tumor, prevent recurrence and metastasis, prolong the life span and improve the quality of life for patients who are ineffective in radiotherapy and chemotherapy or have resistance to chemotherapy drugs;

·For patients with advanced tumors who have lost the opportunity of surgery or have relapsed and metastasized, it can alleviate the symptoms of advanced tumors and prolong the survival period.
